Confucius Institute Scholarship Application Guideline
Wenzhou University (2019)
ⅠEligibility
All applicants shall be:
1. Non-Chinese citizens;
2. In good physical and mental condition, with good academic performance and conduct;
3. Committed to the teaching and international promotion of the Chinese language;
4. Between the ages of 16 and 35 as of September 1, 2019. Applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers shall not be over 45, while undergraduate student applicants shall not be over 25.
II Types and Qualifications
1.One-Academic-Year Program
The program commences in September 2019, and provides scholarship for a maximum of 11 months. International students currently studying in China are not eligible.
1). Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages(TCSOL)
Applicants shall have a minimum score of 270 on the HSK test (Level 3), and an HSKK test score is required.
2). Chinese Language and Literature
Applicants shall have a minimum score of 180 on the HSK test (Level 4) and 60 on the HSKK test (Intermediate Level).
3). Chinese Language Study
Applicants shall have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK test (Level 3).
2. One-Semester Program
The program commences either in September 2019 or March 2020, and provides scholarship of a maximum of 5 months. Applicants holding the X1 or X2 visa are not eligible.
1). TCSOL, Chinese Language and Literature
Applicants shall have a minimum score of 180 on the HSK test (Level 3), and an HSKK test score is required
III Application Procedures
Step1. Search for recommending institutions and host institutions:
Online registration is available from March 1, 2019 on the Confucius Institute Scholarship website (http://cis.chinese.cn ). Applicants can log on to the Confucius Institute Scholarship website to set up an individual account, find the recommending institute and host institutions(the agency code of WZU is 10351)
Step2. Upload the following application documents on the Confucius Institute Scholarship website:
1) For all applicants
① a scanned copy of passport. (within the two-year validity). (Applicants under the age of 18 shall submit a notarized copy of the guardian's warrant, who should be appointed by applicants’ parents and a foreign or Chinese resident in China.)
② a scanned copy of score reports of the HSK and HSKK tests (within the two-year validity).
③ a reference letter by the head of the recommending institutions
2).Note:
① Please track the application progress, comments and result. Hanban will complete the scholarship review and publish the results three months before enrollment of the scholarship winners.
② After receiving confirmation of studying in WZU from the scholarship winners, our university will send out the Admission Letter and the Visa Application Form for Foreign Students Studying in China (JW202 Form). For scholarship winners, you can print the scholarship certificate online and register at our university on the specified date in the admission letter.

V Application Deadline
One academic year, one semester student (autumn semester, 2019)
Deadline: May 20, 2019.

VI Coverage
The Confucius Institute Scholarship provides full coverage on tuition fee, accommodation fee, living allowance and comprehensive medical insurance expenses.
1. Tuition fee: the tuition fee is waived but the textbook is at students’ own expenses.
2. Accommodation fee: our university offers a twin room for the students. Students may also live off-campus upon application and getting permission from our university. Students who live off-campus are entitled to accommodation allowance of CNY1,000.00 per person/month for doctoral students and CNY700.00 per person/month for other students paid on a monthly / quarterly basis.
3. Living allowance: our university will pay the living allowance on a monthly basis. The allowance for one-academic-year study students and one-semester students is CNY2,500.00 per person per month. For MTCSOL student, the allowance is CNY3,000.00 per person per month.
4. Comprehensive Medical Insurance: our university shall pay a unified purchase according to the relevant regulations stipulated by the Ministry of Education of China. Insurance is CNY400 for one-semester students, and CNY800 per year for students engaged in program longer than one academic year.
5. Notice:
1). The scholarship recipients must register onsite in our university according to the date indicated in the admission letter. Otherwise, the scholarship will be cancelled.
2). Scholarship recipients who have left China for more than 15 days for personal reasons during the study period (excluding the winter and summer holidays) will be suspended with the living allowance.
3). Scholarship recipients, who dropped out of school for personal reasons or received disciplinary action, will be stopped their scholarship qualification.
4). The living expenses of the graduates are paid to the half-month after the date of completion of the school.
5).The Confucius Institute Scholarship provides partial coverage on tuition fee, accommodation fee and comprehensive medical insurance expenses.
6). A Chinese proficiency test (HSK) and an oral test (HSKK) must be taken before the completion of the academic study. The registration fee will be reimbursed by the school.
VII The Annual Review
Scholarship recipients with a study period of more than one year are required to take the annual review. The annual review includes comprehensive evaluations of academic performance, Chinese proficiency, attendance and participation in cultural activities and so on. Those who achieve excellence in the annual review can continue to have the full scholarship in the second year, and those who have achieved good will receive partial scholarships, and the rest will be suspended from scholarship.
温州大学外国留学生“孔子学院奖学金”申请指南(2019年)
一、资助对象
1.非中国籍人士。
2.身心健康,品学兼优。
3.有志于从事汉语教育、教学及汉语国际推广相关工作。
4.年龄为16-35周岁(统一以2019年9月1日计)。在职汉语教师放宽至45周岁,本科奖学金申请者一般不超过25周岁。
二、类别及申请条件
1.一学年研修生
2019年9月入学,资助期限为11个月。注意:不录取在华留学生。
1)汉语国际教育
汉语考试成绩达到HSK(三级)270分,具有HSKK证书。
2)汉语言文学
汉语考试成绩达到HSK(三级)180分,HSKK60分。
3)汉语研修
汉语考试成绩达到HSK(三级)210分。
2.一学期研修生
入学时间为2019年9月或2020年3月,资助期限为5个月。注意:不录取护照上有X1、X2签证者。

三、申请流程
1.联系并选择推荐单位
1) 运营半年以上的孔子学院/独立设置的孔子课堂: 通过www.hanban.org查询
2) 具有奖学金推荐权的汉语水平考试(HSK)考点:通过www.chinesetest.cn查询
3) “汉语桥”比赛海外赛区主办机构:中国驻外使(领)馆教育、文化处(组)、孔子学院及相关教育机构,请咨询chinesebridge@hanban.org
2.孔子学院在线申请
1).登陆孔子学院奖学金网站(http://cis.chinese.cn)注册个人账号,查询并选择推荐机构(一般为当地的孔子学院)和接受院校(温州大学),在线填写、提交《孔子学院奖学金申请表》。
2). 申请者需准备以下材料
① 护照照片页扫描件。未满18周岁的申请者,须由其父母正式委托在华常住的外国人或中国人作为该外国学生的监护人,并提交监护人保证书公证材料。
② HSK、HSKK成绩报告(有效期两年)扫描件。
③ 推荐机构负责人签发的推荐信(客观评价申请者并注明是否孔子学院学员或其它身份;在职汉语教师须附上就职机构出具的在职证明和推荐信。)
3).注意:
①. 我校将审核入学资格,并向汉办提交预录取人选。汉办对符合条件者进行综合评审,择优录取,于入学前3个月完成奖学金评审工作,公布评审结果。
②. 我校与获奖学生确认留学意向后,将寄发《录取通知书》、《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》(JW202表),学生可在线打印获奖证书。学生须按我校录取通知书规定的时间入学报到。

六、资助内容及标准
国家汉办奖学金处提供全额学费、住宿费、生活费及医疗保险。
1.学费:学费全免,但不包含教材费和旅游景点门票。
2.住宿费:
1). 学校提供奖学金生专用的双人间住宿。
2). 若选择校外住宿,需要提前向我校留学生办公室申请,由学校按月或季度发放住宿费,标准为700元人民币/月。
3.生活费:按月发放。一学年和一学期研修生标准为2500元人民币/月。
4.综合医疗保险费:由学校参照中国教育部来华留学有关规定统一购买,标准为一学期 400 元人民币。
5.注意:
1). 奖学金生按接收院校录取通知书规定的时间入学报到,否则取消奖学金资格。
2). 奖学金生在学期间(不含寒暑假)因个人原因离开中国时间超过15天者,停发离华期间生活费。
3). 奖学金生因个人原因休学、退学或受接收院校纪律处分者,停发自休学、退学或接到处分通知之日起的生活费。
4). 毕(结)业生的生活费发放至学校确定的毕(结)业日期后的半个月。
5). 部分奖学金资助内容是:学费、住宿费和综合医疗保险费。
6).一学年及一学期研修生结业前必须参加一次汉语水平测试(HSK)及口试(HSKK)。汉语测试报名费由学校报销。
七、年度评审
所有学习时间超过一年的学生须参加年度评审,评审内容包括学习成绩、汉语水平测试、出勤及文化活动参与程度等综合评价。达到优秀者可在第二学年继续享受全额奖学金,达到良好者获得部分奖学金,其余停发奖学金。
