Students experienced the Chinese way to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival. The CIE held a Mid-Autumn party with interesting cultural experience activities for the representatives of international students from Zimbabwe, Ghana, Ethiopia, South Africa, Portugal, Turkey and other countries on the afternoon of September 17.

Students from the Language A class prepared a poem recitation of "Silent Night Thoughts," "Raise your head to look at the bright moon, lower your head to think of your hometown.... .” Affected by the strong homesick sentiment expressed in this poem, international students ganied a deeper sense of Mid-Autumn Festival just as we Chinese people have. The students of Language Class B1 sang the chorus "The Moon Represents My Heart." The beautiful melody rang out and everyone present sang along with it: "You ask how deeply I love you, how much I love you ...... The moon represents my heart." This was sung out by the international students' love for the Chinese language and Chinese culture. Xin Kaili from South Africa in Language Class B2 sang a solo entitled "At Least There's You". Chen Mengyao, a Chinese-American student from Portugal in the Language C class, told the history of the Mid-Autumn Festival in the form of a story. Through a series of cultural experience activities, the international students further understood the cultural connotation of the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, explored and interpreted the essence of the traditional Chinese festival at a deeper level, and experienced the rich cultural atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival in advance.

At the end of the party, CIE gave the international students holiday bags with some gifts inside that stood for the most sincere wishes to them. The international students also expressed their gratitude to the university in a word of blessing. "CIE extends its great concern for us international students, driving our homesickness away."
