Orientation for 2022 Freshmen


With the hope of helping freshmen get used to live and study in Wenzhou University(WZU), College of International Education(CIE) arranged a week-long orientation course for 2022 freshmen from September 15,2022. Officers from Wenzhou City Entry-Exit Administration Bureau, Ouhai District Entry-Exit Management Brigade, Chashan Police Station, and teachers from the university’s library and CIE have given special themed lectures for freshmen.


Officer Ouyang Chao explained Chinese law on entry-exit administration and visa policy in detail to freshmen. He hoped all freshmen shall obey Chinese laws and rules consciously and value their visa records.

Officer Chen Haimin mainly educated the students on safety topics such as fraud prevention, anti-drug, and traffic safety. He particularly emphasized that international students should be aware of China's zero-tolerance attitude towards drugs and that they were strictly banned from touching forbidden drugs such as marijuana.

Xiong Yong, Vice Dean of CIE, interpreted to the freshmen the "Regulations on Student Status Management for International students of Wenzhou University". He hoped that all students should focus on their studies, learn Chinese culture and professional knowledge with great efforts, and strive to grow into international students of a new era with profound knowledge, solid professional knowledge. At the same time, he hoped all freshmen would try to know more about China and be friend to China.
