On the evening of October 24, 2022, the closing ceremony of WZU Program “International Chinese Teacher’s Scholarship” for Indonesia learners was held online. Guests and leaders attended this closing ceremony were Lin Minzhu, Lei Yunxuan from Indonesia teaching organizations, as well as 70 Indonesia high school and secondary school students. In addition, leaders and staff of College of International Education(CIE), Wenzhou University(WZU) also were presented at the online closing ceremony.
First, Lin Minzhu congratulated student participants finished their studies in this program and expressed her gratitude to teachers and staff for their hard work. She encouraged students to go on their study of Chinese and improve their knowledge about China and Chinese language and hoped these students could be cultural exchange bridges between China and Indonesia. At the same time, she welcomed teachers and staff of Wenzhou University to visit Indonesia in the future.
Second, Zhang Minlu, lecturer of CIE,WZU, made a conclusion speech of Indonesia students’ study in this program. She sincerely hoped these students and Indonesia teachers could come to China, to WZU to experience Chinese culture in person. She also played a video which recorded wonderful moments of students’ study in this program to encourage them come to study in WZU when they have a chance.
Third, Indonesia student Huang Xiaowen and Chen Jiayi shared their feelings of studying in this program. They expressed their love for Chinese culture and thanked teachers for their kindness and earnestly teaching. What’s more, some student representatives performed talent show, including Chinese dances and songs.
Fourth, Xiong Yong, Vice Dean of CIE, WZU thanked students and teachers presented for their hard studying and working, and expressed his best wishes to them all. He said this program was a big success for our further programs of teaching Chinese to Indonesia students. And he also encouraged Indonesia students to come to China for further study of Chinese language and its culture after their graduation from middle school.
