On the afternoon of November 17th, the young scholars conference of international engineering education symposium 2023 in the theme of “the power of youth, shaping the future” was held in Zhaohui Campus of Zhejiang University of Technology. Professor Kai Sang Lock, Chairman of Washington Accord, Academician of Canadian Academy of Engineering, Professor Gu Peihua of Tianjin University, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Professor Tu Shandong of East China University of Science and Technology, Secretary General of China Engineering Education Professional Certification Association Zhou Aijun, Deputy Secretary General of China Engineering Education Professional Certification Association Tzi-Chiang Chao, International Department Minister of China Engineering Education Professional Certification Association He Jingjing, Party Secretary Cai Yuanqiang and Vice President Yu Xiaofen attended the meeting.

BABANIYAZOV YAKUB, student majoring in mechanical engineering, AKOUBI HALIMA and PUMRATMAKUL JIRAPA, students majoring in computer science and technology, gathered together with 120 representatives of young students from all over the world to seek common development of engineering science and technology and talked about the innovative power of young students.

AKOUBI HALIMA said he learned a lot by attending the conference. Through the content shared by experts and scholars at the conference, he realized that computer science and technology play a key role in solving sustainability challenges. Students can study and learn how to reduce resource waste and carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency and infrastructure, and promote innovation through related technologies. These measures help to achieve the goal of sustainable development.

The Young Scholars Conference is an important part of the 2023 World Engineering Education Conference, which provides a platform for young students around the world to communicate. The conference is jointly sponsored by Zhejiang University of Technology, China Engineering Education Professional Accreditation Association (CEEAA) and China Association for Science and Technology Training and Talent Service Center, and officially supported by Singapore Institute of Engineers (IES), Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (HKIE), International Engineering Union (IEA), European Engineering Education Accreditation Network (ENAEE), World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) and Asia-Pacific Federation of Engineering Organizations (FEIAP). It aims to guide young students to better understand the challenges of global sustainable development and become promoters and innovators of global change.
