International Students Showcase Leadership Skills in Global Development Summer Camp Reporting Competition


On September 25th afternoon, the “You@WZU” International Student Global Leadership Summer Camp Report Competition was held in Classroom 201, Building 3, North Campus. Host Zhou Yifang outlined the display order and evaluation criteria before each team presented their unique, insightful, and impressive reports.

Rohan Muhaimin Mukit from Bangladesh discussed cultural diversity, inclusivity benefits, and his unique strategies for resolving cultural conflicts. Antora Roy shared his delightful China experiences, highlighting traditional cuisine and festivals through pictures and text. Mamoudou Fofana from Guinea reflected on his summer camp learnings, focusing on global leadership principles. Zhu Liting and Guo Liwen compared Chinese and Thai customs, values, body language, and food festivals, fostering a deeper understanding of both cultures. Tran Tien Anh (Chen Damu) from Vietnam introduced his “Happy Summer Vacation, Happy Learning Chinese” project, sharing team results and personal reflections.

The event concluded with a group photo. The judges awarded first, second, third, and excellence prizes based on students' performances and report contents.

This summer camp aims to enhance students’ cross-cultural communication, teamwork, and innovative thinking through courses and activities like expert lectures, Model UN, research, outreach, team building, and group projects. It received positive feedback from international students, leading to the formation of 15 teams for projects like soccer matches and online Chinese learning. Cultures were also shared and compared in depth. The camp has achieved initial success, and the college plans to further develop these activities, incorporating international student characteristics.
