Wenzhou University and Indonesia Tsingshan Stainless Steel Launch Advanced Online Chinese Course to Foster Language Excellence


April 10, 2024 – College of International Education of Wenzhou University has once again partnered with Indonesia Tsingshan Stainless Steel to launch an Advanced Chinese and Professional Translation Training Program, marking a new milestone in their long-term collaboration. This online course, designed to enhance Indonesia employees' Chinese proficiency, builds upon the success of previous "Chinese + Vocation" training initiatives, further supporting the company’s global development.

Tailored Curriculum for Real-World Applications

Lin Aiju, Secretary of the CPC CIE Committee, emphasized that the program was developed after thorough research to meet the specific needs of Tsingshan’s workforce. The course integrates cloud-based learning with practical exercises, ensuring immediate applicability in professional settings.

Led by instructor Zhang Minlu, the program focuses on advanced language skills and specialized translation, using interactive methods like live Q&A and group discussions to maximize engagement. Customized assignments will track participants’ progress, ensuring tangible improvements.

A Partnership Driving Success

Meng Jiejun, a manager at Indonesia Tsingshan, expressed gratitude for Wenzhou University’s ongoing support, noting that over 200 employees have already benefited from earlier courses, significantly reducing language barriers. "This advanced program reflects our shared commitment to empowering talent," he said.

Zhang Jiayou, an employee representative, shared his enthusiasm: "Studying at Wenzhou University in 2023 transformed my Chinese skills. This new course is a dream come true."
