On the morning of September 30, 2021, we received a research group made up of leaders and staff from Department of Education of Zhejiang Province and reported our work preparations for the new semester on international students education. The meeting was held in the conference room of 311 International Building of North Campus.
Jiang Jun, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Division of Department of Education of Zhejiang Province, Xu Lihua, Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Department of Zhejiang Normal University, Cai Binbin, Vice President of International College of Zhejiang University of Technology, Zhuang Xingzhong, Deputy Secretary of CPC WZU Committee and relevant leaders of Academic Affairs Office, the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Personnel Office, Accounting and Finance Office, Logistics Management Office, Security Office, Teacher Education Development Center and College of International Education of WZU attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Lin Ai’ju, Secretary of CPC CIE, WZU Committee.
Mr. Zhuang expressed a warm welcome to all the guests. He said that the supervision of the research group extended a great significance. Their visit would serve as a comprehensive "physical examination" for the education and management of international students and would further urge us to do a better job in the field of international students education.
Dean Ye Miao made a report on the education and management of international students in Wenzhou University, and introduced the basic overview of the College of International Education, institutional construction of international students, enrollment and education management of international students, ideological education of international students, as well as the implementation of the work related to the preparation for the new semester. Zheng Ting, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office made a special report on the management and service for foreign teachers.
The research group had an in-depth discussion and exchange with the person in charge of relevant departments on the education management of international students, and put forward many valuable suggestions and recommendations.
Mr. Jiang made a concluding speech. He emphasized the need of further tightening the enrollment policy and continuously improving the quality of international students. Great attention should be paid to the management of foreign teachers and students, the control of public opinion and the improving of the ability to deal with emergencies.
