On the morning of April 15th , three leaders from Wenzhou Foreign Affairs Office, including Zhou Huaizhong, Deputy Director, Sui Huijie, Division Chief of Foreign Exchange Division and Ye Yao, Deputy Division Chief, visited our college. Dean Song Zhanmei expressed warm welcome to them and organized a meeting on Suriname Research. Party Secretary Lin Aiju, Vice Dean Xiongyong, Vice Dean Wu Zhiou, and Professor Zheng Juanman as well as other members of Suriname Research team attended the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dean Song introduced our college, international student education and various Chinese language training programs, as well as the main work achievements of our college in recent years. Dean Song expressed her hope that Municipal Foreign Affairs Office would continue to support our cooperation in international education, studies on regional countries, and services to the local development.
Deputy Director Zhou spoke highly of our works in international student education and Chinese language training. He said that both sides should do more to further incubate the brand project of Chinese language training, deepen the talent exchange and cooperation, give full play to the advantages of international students in Wenzhou University, so as to better tell Chinese stories to the world. The Municipal Foreign Affairs Office will actively support the development of CIE as always. They will work as bridges to matchmake suitable overseas colleges and universities of sister cities for education cooperation by taking full use of foreign affairs activities. What’s more, they will help Wenzhou University realize its high-quality development as a university think tank, and play an important role in serving national strategies and promote regional economic and social development.
