On the morning of June 5, 2024, Li Jinlan, Director of the Chinese Department in the School of Humanities at Burapha University of Thailand, and Ms. Fu Lizhu, the former Thai Dean of the Confucius Institute at the same university, visited to discuss the jointly organized dual-campus program for joint training in Chinese language and literature. The undergraduate project convened a working meeting to engage in thorough exchanges and deliberations on issues pertaining to project implementation and expansion. The meeting was attended by Xia Yuanzhi, Dean of our college; Zheng Ting, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office; Xiong Yong; Gao Jin, Deputy Dean of the college; heads of relevant departments; and representatives of project teachers. The meeting was presided over by Lin Aiju, the Secretary of the CPC CIE Committee.

Firstly, Xia Yuanzhi, representing the college, warmly welcomed Director Li Jinlan and her delegation. He congratulated the successful achievements of the exchanges and cooperative training between the two colleges, and expressed his gratitude to the leaders and teachers of the School of Humanities of Burapha University for their consistent support for the project. Furthermore, he clarified that the college will make every effort to continue supporting the further promotion of the joint training project between the two universities and the expansion of exchanges.

Afterwards, Xiong Yong provided an update on the project's progress, shared representative photos of personnel exchanges and cooperation between the two universities throughout the years, and discussed with participants the collaboration between the two universities in joint Confucius Institutes, personnel visits, joint training, scientific research cooperation, and more. The exchanges, cooperation, and fruitful results, as well as the memories across time and space, evoked positive recollections of the exchanges and cooperation between the two universities.
In her speech, Zheng emphasized the significance that our school places on the collaborative relationship with Oriental University of Thailand. The International Office has been instrumental in facilitating the development of exchanges between the two institutions in cooperative education, teacher exchanges, and personnel visits. They aim to expand and deepen cooperation in various disciplines such as crafts, art, music, culture, and sports.

Li engaged in in-depth discussions with relevant department heads of our hospital regarding the optimization of modes, curriculum alignment, credit transfer, internship opportunities, graduation, and employment of students participating in the joint undergraduate degree projects between the two institutes. They also discussed cooperation in teacher sharing and mutual employment of tutors, reaching a consensus on the next steps for collaboration.
Fu expressed her sincere gratitude to our institute for its unwavering support and significant contributions to the establishment of the Confucius Institute at Oriental University of Thailand and the joint training project of the School of Humanities. She noted the smooth progress of the joint training project, highlighting the excellent teaching and research capabilities of the teachers who have positively impacted Chinese language education in eastern Thailand and supported the development of Chinese language majors at Oriental University of Thailand. She looks forward to continued close cooperation and further achievements.
