Chinese and Foreign Teachers and Students Celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival


In the afternoon of September 9, Chinese and foreign teachers and students of College of International Education, Wenzhou University gathered together. By wearing Chinese traditional costumes, listening to Chinese traditional stories, eating moon cakes and enjoying poems related with the moon, they experienced an authentic Mid-Autumn Festival, including the goodness and beauty of traditional Chinese culture.


Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as 'Reunion Festival', has great significance in traditional Chinese culture, and the Chinese have had the custom of appreciating the moon at that night since ancient times ...


While tasting moon cakes and fruits, they were listening to the origin stories of Mid-Autumn Festival, its customs and habits, as well as its meaning of reunion. What’s more, students have learned to sing the song "When will the moon be clear and bright?” Both teachers and students enjoyed themselves.
