Wenzhou University International Students celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival


At the time of Mid-Autumn Festival,International Education School (International Students Management Department)organized a variety of activities for international students.

On September 20th, Associate Professor Kan Wenwen ofInternational Education Schoollaunched a Mid-Autumn Festival traditional cultural experience with the theme of “tea”. In the on-site explanation and display, international students were full of interest, knowing about the different kind of teas and trying them out in turn. Everyone was deeply attracted by the rich Chinese tea culture and impressed by the clear and soft Chinese tea ceremony art. MOHAMMED YAHYA ABDISEID from civil engineering said: "Before I came to China, I’ve heard that Chinese tea is very famous. I felt really good knowing about a variety of Chinese tea and was really satisfied by the explanation given by the teacher today. The original Chinese tea covers is not only a wide variety, but also has rich connotation. Let me once again restate the profound Chinese culture, China is really a great country."

After feeling the quiet and pure fragrance of tea culture, international students joined the fun and interesting Mid-Autumn Festival garden party, guessing riddles, reading poems, making and releasing Kongming lanterns... They experienced the fun customs and traditional culture of the Mid-Autumn Festival with joy and laughter.

In addition, Ye Miao, the party secretary of the School of International Education, led the counselors to visit the D District of international students and the expert building apartment to send Mid-Autumn moon cakes and holiday blessings. ADOFO MICHAEL ADJEI from Ghana was very happy to receive the gift. He said: "I have been in China for three years, and I was able to receive the mooncakes from school during the Mid-Autumn Festival every year. It was a very good gift. And also really delicious. I like it very much. The Mid-Autumn Festival represents reunion in China. Although we can't reunite with our family now, I feel very happy and warm here.
