Philatelic Culture into Campus Showing Chinese Charm


On May 30th, “Philatelic Culture into Campus”, organized by Wenzhou Post Ouhai Branch and the Senior Cadre Post Association, was held at International Education College of Wenzhou University.

Mail Stamps,as a reflection of the political, economic and social development of the country, is the epitome and relic of the history and culture of the state and the nation. Collecting stamps is a cultural activity that combines ideological, intellectual, fun and entertaining.

The exhibits include 12 sets of philatelic products including reform and opening up, army building, Dream of Red Mansions, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese zodiac, and World Heritage,etc.. In order to promote China's philatelic culture, and popularize philately knowledge, the post staff prepared hundreds of exquisite stamp products for visitors, and patiently explained the origin and three elements of stamps, the history of stamps issued in China,philatelic culture and other related information,which have been widely praised by Chinese and foreign students. At the exhibition site, there were not only the philatelic knowledge prize-winning activities, but also DIY photos printed on the postcards for the sake of commemoration.

As an effective media, the philatelic culture, embodying the outstanding achievements of Chinese civilization,allows international students to have a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and a broader scope in philatelic activities.
