On January 10, 2022, College of International Education (CIE) held a completion ceremony for language students in Conference Room 3-311. Dean Ye Miao, Secretary of the CPC CIE WZU Committee Lin Aiju, Deputy Secretary of the CPC CIE WZU Committee Fang Jianxiao, Vice Dean Xiong Yong, heads of college administrative offices, teacher representatives and all the language students who have completed their study attended the ceremony.
At first, Dean Ye Miao delivered a speech. She congratulated the language students for completing their language program with honors. She suggested these students go on their studies on Chinese language and culture, learning more about China. She encouraged them to tell China’s stories to the world and to become ambassadors between China and their own countries in cultural communication.
Teacher Zhang Minlu reviewed these students' Chinese study. She hoped that the students would uphold the spirit of WZU’s motto of seeking knowledge and daring to be the first and wished every student a prosperous future.
Teacher Li Jing and Wu Xiaofei send their wishes by videos, hoping these language students could remember what they have learned here in WZU no matter where they would be in the future.
The student representative Raymond thanked all the faculties for their teaching and cares. He promised to keep on the study of Chinese and try his best to make contribution to the communication between China and his hometown.
At last, Mrs. Lin Aiju handed completion certificate to every language student presented and had a photo together as a memento.
It is said that as a way to cope with the impact of the global epidemic, CIE adopted a combination of online and offline teaching method for its language program, and insisted in keeping the class small to ensure the quality of learning. In total, there were 13 international language students who completed the program in the autumn semester of 2021.
