On the afternoon of April 14, our college organized an appraisal meeting on recommended candidates for the Chinese Government Scholarship-Postgraduate Program for the academic year of 2022/2023. The judging panel was consisted of Lin Aiju, Wang Lu, Zhang Chaili, Zhou Yiyan and Zhu Dehua. Candidates were evaluated on the basis of an interview and their academic merit points. The judging panel scored each candidate at the appraisal meeting and made a ranking of the candidates by their scores from highest to lowest by average score.
The candidates interviewed in this appraisal meeting were recommended by each college on the basis of the preliminary assessments. Since some candidates were outside China, the appraisal meeting was divided into two parts. The first part was for candidates in China who were interviewed on site, while, the second part was for candidates outside China were interviewed through Dingtalk or Wechat video call. All candidates had to introduce themselves and answer questions from the judging panel to show their comprehensive qualities.
It was said that starting from the academic year of 2022-2023, the Chinese Government Scholarship-Postgraduate Program will adopt the procedure of "individual application, school recommendation, judging panel evaluation and merit acceptance". In addition, each recommended candidate has to compete with others from other universities and colleges to win the scholarship.
