Dean Ye Miao and Her Delegation Made an Exchange and Research Visit to Ningbo University


    Dean Ye Miao, Vice Dean Xiong Yong, and their delegation visited Ningo University on an exchange and research visit from June 9 to June 10. The delegation consists of five staff members from the General Affairs Office, the Admission Office, the Teaching Affairs Office, and the Student's Affairs Office. Meanwhile, Huang Wenhao and Zheng Teng, Director and Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office also joined in the visit.
    On the afternoon of June 9, Dean Ye and her delegation visited the International College of Ningbo University and held a panel discussion with its leaders and staff. The main theme of this discussion was Higher Education Quality Certification for Overseas Students. At the start of discussion, Dean Ye made an introduction of international education and services at WZU. Then, Yan Feng, Vice Dean of International College of Ningbo University introduced the general condition of his college and gave a full description of the process of Higher Education Quality Certification for Overseas Students. Later, the two parties continued the discussion on a deeper level. They discussed how to improve international students’ learning and living circumstances and how to prepare the materials they need.

    On the morning of June 10, Dean Ye and her delegation met Wu Xicun, Deputy Director of Ningbo University International Office, and his colleagues to have a discussion on the internationalization of higher education. During the talk, Mr. Wu Xicun introduced Ningbo University’s efforts of internationalization in various aspects from the constructions of institutes and regulations, and plans for the university’s development in infrastructure construction. Then, Zheng Ting, Deputy Director of the WZU International Office introduced ours work of internationalization. Subsequently, both sides exchanged their questions and doubts in the path of higher education internationalization against the backdrop of the pandemic.

    This trip enabled us to know more about our sister university’s situation in internationalization, and offered goals and methods for us in the future.
