Secretary Lin Aiju and Her Delegation Made an Exchange and Research Visit to Several Universities in Hanghzou


    On May 21, Lin Aiju, Secretary of CPC WZU-CIE Committee, Fang Jianxiao, the Vice Secretary, and their delegation, as well as leaders of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of Wenzhou University visited Hangzhou Normal University, Zhejiang Gongshang University, and Zhejiang Sci-Tech University for studying and exchanging views on international student’s education and services. 
    Mrs. Lin and her delegation first went to the Cangqian Campus of Hangzhou Normal University. Wu Xiaowei, Director of the School of International Education of Hangzhou Normal University, and Ma Jun,Vice Director happily received them and introduced at length about their academic, student, and admission affairs management, teacher and student allocation, and capital investment, as well as their subordinate institutes, Alibaba Business School and Kharkov College. Then the two parties had a deep discussion on the management of international student’s education and services. After the discussion, they toured the dormitory of international students, meeting rooms and multifunctional classrooms.

    In the afternoon, Mrs. Lin and her delegation went to Xiasha Higher Education Park. There they had a meeting with leaders and staff from the International Cooperation Office and the School of International Education of Zhejiang Gongshang University, including Tao Ying, Director of the International Cooperation Office, and Cong Tianluo, Dean of the School of International Education. Mr. Tao shared with them his experience and lessons learned from the cooperation work of international education, by introducing their international education programs and measures taken in developing international education institutions. Dean Cong made an introduction of their work in admission review and approval, cultivation funds and scholarships, enabling us to know more about our peer school’s work scheme.

    Later, they arrived at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University whose leaders and staff, including Fu Xiang, Director of International Exchange & Cooperation Office, Yu Houyong, Vice Director and Zheng Jianjun, Director of General Affairs Office of the School of International Education, arranged a meeting with warm hospitality. Mr. Fu disclosed their incentive policies for internationalization of education, the construction of two overseas Confucius Institutes, and their Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run schools. Mr. Zheng shared their experience in admission, tuition charges, and scholarship disbursement.
