In the morning of March 9, a delegation led by its Vice General Manager Ji Ping and Chief Executive Officer Chen Xiu from Zhejiang Great Wall Computer System Co., Ltd.(浙江长城计算机系统有限公司）, visited our college. Dean Song welcomed them and together they exchanged views on matters such as cooperation on international students' training for targeted talents. Other CIE leaders including Lin Aiju, Secretary of CPC CIE Committee, Xiong Yong, Vice Dean, Fang Jianxiao, Deputy Secretary and Li Shuqi, Director of CIE General Affairs Office attended the meeting.
Dean Song extended a warm welcome to Ji Ping and his delegation, and introduced the basic situation of our international students, international promotion ability, our own characteristics and advantages in international students education. She said that both sides could cooperate to create an innovation and entrepreneurship base for international students, giving full play to those students’ characteristics and advantages. We could use the marketing and trade platform to promote the products of the company and the innovative capability of the students, so as to increase the number of international students living and working in Wenzhou after their graduation.
Vice General Manager Ji Ping briefly introduced the development history of Zhejiang Great Wall Computer System Co. Ltd. He said his company was very glad to have this opportunity to cooperate with CIE to build an innovation and entrepreneurship base, offering more real practice opportunities for international students.
The two sides discussed in depth about strengthening cooperation on talent training, including setting up targeted talent training programs for international students, and offering special scholarships to attract excellent international students from "Belt & Road" countries, to meet enterprises’ needs for qualified employees.
The two sides then signed a strategic agreement on school-enterprise cooperation and held a plaque awarding ceremony for the international student training base. This school-enterprise cooperation actively responds to the national strategy of "Belt & Road" Initiative and reflects the responsibility of local universities and state-owned enterprises.
