On Friday afternoon, a new semester seminar for international student specialists was held in an happy atmosphere. Counselors from CIE International Student Affairs Office and international student specialists from Business School, Law School, College of Chemistry & Materials Engineering, College of Life and Environmental Science, School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, College of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, and College of Civil Engineering and Architecture attended the seminar, which was chaired by Fang Jianxiao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC CIE Committee.
On the seminar, Mr. Fang made a presentation on the international student’s work in the new semester, including epidemic prevention and control, tuition fee payment, class attendance and the establishment of the alumni database of international students. He stressed that Covid-19 is still raging around the world, therefore we must hold onto our prevention and control measures against it. What’s more, it takes our joint efforts to encourage international students to pay their tuition as soon as possible. In addition, we need to pay more attention to daily routines, such as attendance, dormitory management, and improve international students’ staying ratio in Wenzhou. At last, Mr. Fang made arrangements for the work of international students in this semester. The international student specialists of each college also exchanged views on the practical problems in their daily work, especially on how to achieve effective management and warm education under the challenge of epidemic.
At the end of the seminar, Mr. Fang made a promise to carefully sort and study all kinds of challenges arising from the cultivation of international students and he hoped that with our jointly efforts we could offer high-quality education for international students.
