On April 27, the Zhejiang Provincial National Language Promotion Base Construction Seminar and the Unveiling Ceremony of the Third Batch of National Bases sponsored by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education and undertaken by Wenzhou University were successfully held in Yuying Library of Wenzhou University. A total of about 180 representatives, including Tang Xiaoshu, deputy director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, heads of relevant departments of the Provincial Department of Education and Wenzhou Education Bureau, experts from Zhejiang University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University, Jinan University, Jiangxi Normal University and other well-known domestic universities, as well as teachers and students of our school, attended the meeting. The meeting is divided into three parts: awarding ceremony, base discussion, and expert interview.
During the awarding ceremony, Song Zhanmei, Dean of the College of International Education(CIE) of our school, and Chen Zhe, Deputy General Manager of Finance of Tsingshan Industrial Yongqing Group Co., Ltd., signed the "Cooperation Agreement on Applied Economics Master's Program (WZU-Tsingshan Class) between Wenzhou University and Indonesia Tsingshan Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. ”.
Indonesia Tsingshan Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. was established in December 2014 as a joint venture by Tsingshan Holding Group Co., Ltd., Ruipu Technology Group Co., Ltd., Indonesia Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone Tsingshan Park Development Co., Ltd.. The company has invested in the construction of a ferronickel plant with an annual output of 600,000 tons, a stainless steel smelter of 1 million tons and a 2 × 350 MW coal-fired power plant project in Morowali County, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The master's program aims to cultivate modern enterprise management professionals with international vision and cross-cultural competence, basic economic knowledge, solid enterprise management theory, strong innovation ability and practical problem-solving ability for Indonesia Tsingshan Stainless Steel Co., Ltd..
Also presented at the signing ceremony were Zhu Zhentao, Deputy Manager of the Comprehensive Management Department of Yongqing Group Fujian Representative Office, Li Si, Director of the Comprehensive Management Department of Yongqing Group Fujian Representative Office, Lin Aiju, Secretary of the CIE CPC Committee, Xiong Yong, Vice President of CIE, and students representatives of WZU-Tsingshan Class.
It is reported that CIE signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Tsingshan Holding Group on the "WZU-Tsingshan Class" in August 2023. The school customizes language, culture and skills courses according to the needs of enterprises, and organizes cultural experiences, enterprise visits, industrial research, and other activities, aiming to cultivate a reserve force of senior managers who know China, understand Chinese. Up to now, we have received 117 employees from Tsingshan for short term training. The joint master's training program agreement signed this time is an expansion and deepening of the two parties on the basis of the previous non-academic projects.
