Celebrate in Place, Experience a Different Spring Festival

Recently, Wenzhou Daily interviewed our international student TRAN THI NGOC ANH about her Spring Festival in Wenzhou University.

TRAN THI NGOC ANH said that this was a special spring festival for her. Though she couldnt go home because of the rampant COVID-19, she experienced a different spring festival with Wenzhou characteristics.

On the new year eve, College of International Education was decorated with new year ornaments, showing that we were going to usher in a brand new year. Together with other international students from Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Turkmenistan and other countries, TRAN THI NGOC ANH immersed in a happy atmosphere by writing Chinese character  with Chinese calligraphy brush pen, and putting up New Year Scroll and lanterns.

TRAN THI NGOC ANH, from Vietnam, is a postgraduate student majored in Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. She first came to our school in 2019 by a one-year Confucius Project. It was during that time she fell in love with Chinese traditional culture, and wanted to explore further. Wenzhou City is a place with warm climate, beautiful scenery and hospitable residents. Wenzhou University is an open institute, welcoming students from all over the world. Therefore, she made up her mind to pursue her postgraduate education here in Wenzhou University. She gained friendship and love from teachers and students here, and she said she will appreciate her life here all the time.
