Foreign Students Participated in the 11th “Yandang Friendship Award” Ceremony for Wenzhou Foreign Experts

The 11th “Yandang Friendship Award” ceremony for Wenzhou Foreign Experts was held at the Dynasty Hotel on Sep.16th.

Chen Jinbiao, mayor of Wenzhou attended the ceremony. Xue Wei, vice president of WZU, Ye Miao, Foreign Affairs Department Director and student representatives were invited to participate.

Foreign students performed Zui Xuan Min Zu Feng, a song with cheerful rhythm and popular lyrics. Their performances won bursts of applause and received praise from the leaders and guests.

It is reported that “Yandang Friendship Award” Ceremony was established by Wenzhou government in 2003, aimed to commend experts who work in Wenzhou, such as health foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to the establishment of prestigious awards. The award is selected once a year and a total of 160 foreign experts get this award.
