Wenzhou University now has authority from the Ministry of Education to recruit qualified undergraduate students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Issued in a letter entitled “Letter on the right of Zhejiang Normal University and Wenzhou University to recruit students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions [2013] 477”, the approval permits recruitment beginning in 2014 using the undergraduate Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Overseas Students Joint Entrance Examination.

The ability to recruit students from these regions will further the university’s goal of attracting ever more children of overseas Chinese back to China to reconnect families with their roots and promote a unified community.
