From October 12 to 14, CIE held a series of mentoring sessions to international freshmen. 8 seminars and 5 tours helped international freshman fit into new environment.
On the morning of October 12, the orientation session starts itself with an English lecture given by Mrs. Ye, Dean of CIE. Dean Ye encouraged new freshmen to know more about Wenzhou and China, fit into new environment in Wenzhouand study hard in next four years.Three policemen from Entry-Exit Administration of Wenzhou Public Security Bureau and Chashan Police Station touched upon rules and regulations relating to traffic, individual, property safeties, visas and residence permit. Three student counsellors of CIE elaborated on rules on academic performance, management and scholarships and some members of Study in WZU Association briefed on the association in hopes that new international students join in the association to be a good communicator between students and college. On the same day, a tutor from library led them to take a tour of library.
On October 14, international students took a tour of Wenzhou Health Town, composed of Ouyue Cultural Street, Medical Complex, Smart Chips for Health Section and Technological Exchange Section. “It’s so amazing to take the tour, and Iexpectmore opportunities to know more about Wenzhou,” said a student from Zimbabwe.
Different colleges also offered a variety of mentoring sessions to students, helping them to know more about labs, majors and prepare for future study.
