Wenzhou University Undergoes On-Site Review for Education Accreditation for International Student in China

 May 27, 2025 – Wenzhou University (WZU) recently underwent an on-site review for Education Accreditation for International Students in China, conducted by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) on May 26-27.

The expert panel, led by Cheng Aimin, included representatives from China’s Ministry of Education and provincial authorities. They assessed WZU’s international education programs through meetings, facility inspections, and interviews with faculty, staff, and students.

At the opening session, Du Jian, a representative from Zhejiang’s Department of Education, commended WZU’s proactive efforts in self-evaluation and improvement. Lin Shiliang, former Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education’s Supervision Bureau, emphasized the accreditation’s role in advancing China’s global education strategy and urged WZU to leverage this opportunity for further innovation in talent cultivation.

Qian Qiang, WZU’s President outlined WZU’s achievements in international student education, including curriculum development, cultural integration, and support services.

During the two-day review, the panel visited key facilities such as the university library, innovation hubs, and international student dormitories, while observing classes and reviewing academic records.

In the feedback session, the experts acknowledged WZU’s strengths in organizational support and talent training but suggested enhancements in branding and enrollment strategies. President Qian pledged to address the recommendations, aiming to elevate WZU’s global reputation as a premier destination for international students.

This on-site review marks a critical step in WZU’s commitment to educational excellence and global engagement.
