Sept. 17, 2025 – The College of International Education at Wenzhou University hosted an orientation session for the incoming Class of 2025 of the Master's in International Chinese Education program on Tuesday afternoon in Lecture Hall 3-201.
Program Overview and Prospects
Professor Zheng Juanman, head of the master's program, opened with an introduction to the degree. She outlined its development since 2019, noting consistent annual growth in student intake and enhanced academic strength. Professor Zheng detailed the program's training system, curriculum, and practical requirements, highlighting its successful outcomes, including a 100% employment rate for the 2025 graduating class. Graduates have pursued diverse careers, such as public-sector teaching positions and roles as Chinese language volunteers abroad.
Faculty Shares Guidance and Expectations
During a faculty address, advisors from various specializations shared insights from their research and teaching experience. They discussed current trends in the field and emphasized the importance of academic rigor and personal integrity. The advisors encouraged students to view their graduate studies as a pivotal time for intellectual and personal growth, stressing the need to balance academic commitments with well-being. Zhu Huixian, speaking on behalf of the new students, expressed enthusiasm for joining the university community. "International Chinese Education is a discipline that connects cultures and hearts.
