On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, the College of International Education(CIE) at Wenzhou University(WZU) recently organized a special visit to international students living off-campus, bringing them holiday blessings and safety reminders.
The visit was led by the college’s leadership, with all Party members and administrative staff taking part. A mixed-team approach was adopted, forming eight groups that traveled across Wenzhou to meet students from countries including Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Thailand, and Zimbabwe.
During the visits, teachers chatted warmly with students, learning about their living conditions, daily life, and studies. They also provided key safety guidance tailored to off-campus living. Each student received an Off-Campus Accommodation Safety Tip Sheet, with detailed advice on electrical safety, traffic safety, property protection, and telecom fraud prevention. Teachers especially reminded new students to complete residence registration and visa procedures on time.
As a holiday surprise, the college also prepared gifts for every student. Vietnamese student Zhao Yanling shared, “I didn’t expect my teachers to visit my home and bring gifts. It really feels like a family gathering—I’m deeply touched.”
Teachers were glad to see most students living in clean, tidy homes and staying focused on their studies. Many were quietly doing homework or reviewing lessons, showing a positive and diligent spirit.
This visit not only delivered care and greetings from the university but also strengthened off-campus student management and teacher-student bonds. It reflects the CIE’s student-centered approach and contributes to building a safe, harmonious, and welcoming campus environment.
