One-Stop Welcome: WZU Greets International Class of 2025

Sep 16, 2025

Sept. 15, 2025 – Wenzhou University's College of International Education(CIE) welcomed its new international students this week, as the Class of 2025 arrived on campus for orientation from September 10-12. The influx of students from across the globe marked the beginning of a new academic year, transforming the campus into a vibrant hub of cross-cultural exchange.

Streamlined “One-Stop” Service Makes Debut

To ensure a smooth and efficient start, the College implemented a comprehensive "One-Stop" service station. This initiative consolidated essential arrival procedures—including registration, housing check-in, visa and residence permit advisory, insurance enrollment, and student status confirmation—into a single, streamlined process.

The seamless operation, powered by a well-coordinated team of staff and volunteers, put the university's "student-first" principle into practice, allowing newcomers to immediately experience WZU's signature efficiency and hospitality.

Friendly Faces Ease the Transition

A team of multilingual student volunteers, ready with warm greetings of "Hello!" and "Welcome to WZU!", was pivotal in bridging communication gaps. They not only provided clear guidance but also personally accompanied new students through various procedures, turning a potentially daunting process into a friendly and manageable one.

The service network extended beyond campus, with local police and China Unicom setting up temporary stations on-site to assist students with essential services like network registration and SIM card activation.

A Warm Welcome from the Top

In a gesture underscoring the university's commitment, Mr. Zhuang Xingzhong, Deputy Secretary of the WZU CPC Committee, visited the international student dormitories. He personally greeted students, inquired about their accommodation, and encouraged them to settle into their new environment. Secretary Zhuang emphasized the university's dedication to providing a safe, convenient, and supportive living and learning atmosphere for all international scholars.

More Than an Orientation

The welcome event served not only as an academic starting point but also as a showcase of WZU's inclusive and global community. CIE pledges to continue providing robust support platforms, empowering the Class of 2025 to pursue their ambitions and build bridges of friendship.

"The warm smiles and clear guidance from everyone here immediately put me at ease," shared a student from Indonesia. "I felt welcomed the moment I arrived."
