On the afternoon of January 12, 2026, Wenzhou University’s College of International Education(CIE) held a virtual exchange with the Weda Bay Industrial Park of Tsingshan Group. The session centered on the academic progress of the park’s employees currently studying at WZU.

Students shared their learning experiences and daily life in Chinese, demonstrating strong language improvement and cross-cultural adaptability. Lin Aiju, Secretary of the CPC CIE Committee, chaired the meeting.

Zhang Minlu, the program’s head teacher, outlined the curriculum and summarized the students’ overall performance. The students then took turns speaking in relatively fluent Chinese, describing gains from coursework, hands-on activities, and life in China. Many highlighted how systematic study and daily interaction have not only enhanced their Chinese but also deepened their understanding of China’s business and culture—knowledge they believe will benefit their future roles at the park.
Notably, despite starting with no Chinese background just six months ago, the students have developed solid conversational skills. They also praised WZU’s faculty for their dedicated teaching, and expressed fondness for Wenzhou’s scenery and local people’s hospitality.

The Weda Bay Park representative commended the students’ rapid progress and encouraged them to continue advancing in Chinese language, hoping they grow to love the language, the university, and the dynamic city of Wenzhou. Gratitude was extended to WZU for its educational support, with both sides expressing interest in deeper cooperation to cultivate more skilled professionals.
