A senior executive from Yongqing Group visited Wenzhou University on Feb. 4 to check on the progress of Indonesian students training in China and discuss expanding the company's partnership with the university.
He Xiaozhen, Vice President of Yongqing Group and Chairman of the Weda Bay Industrial Park, toured the campus accompanied by Human Resources Manager Wang Yin and Project Specialist Zhang Xin. The delegation met with the university leaders, program staff and all current students in the Tsingshan Class, a customized training program preparing Indonesian recruits for roles at the park.

Students took turns sharing what they've gained during nearly four months at WZU. Many described their journey from initial culture shock to finding their footing on campus—and from struggling with basic phrases to handling daily conversations and beginning to grasp Chinese cultural context.
"We arrived nervous and not knowing what to expect," one student told the visitors. "Now we're gaining language skills, friendships and a much clearer sense of how we can contribute back home."
The students expressed gratitude to both Yongqing Group and WZU for the opportunity, pledging to apply what they've learned at the industrial park while serving as bridges between their Indonesian colleagues and Chinese partners.

He praised the students' progress, emphasizing that the language program reflects Yongqing Group's commitment to developing local talent for leadership roles. He encouraged students to make the most of their remaining time mastering Chinese and preparing to become versatile professionals who can drive the company's growth.
"The foundation you're building here matters," He told the students. "Your language skills and cultural understanding will open doors—for yourselves and for the company."

He also signaled Yongqing Group's interest in expanding cooperation with WZU beyond the current program, exploring new models for talent development that benefit both sides.

Wang Shun, Vice President of WZU, thanked Yongqing Group for its continued trust and partnership. He affirmed that the university will leverage its educational strengths to meet the company's evolving talent needs, particularly as it expands operations overseas.

The visit allowed both sides to assess the program's progress and map out next steps. Moving forward, WZU and Yongqing Group plan to strengthen collaboration in talent cultivation, industry-education integration and other areas—deepening a partnership that now spans multiple student cohorts and continues to grow.
