China Link Short-term Scientific Exchange Scholarship Program (2026)

1.Program Introduction

In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign young generation, and to build a platform for the exchange of scientific research young talents in the world, China Scholarship Council (CSC) continues to carry out China Link Short-term Scientific Exchange Scholarship Program (referred to as China Link Scholarship) in 2026.

2.Program Scheme

2.1 Funding Categories

General scholar: applicable to current undergraduates or graduates.

Senior scholar: applicable to current Ph. D candidates or faculties

2.2 Duration

1-12 months. Start study in China no later than August 31, 2027.

2.3 Working Language

English or Chinese, depending on the program.

2.4 Study/Research Fields:

All disciplines other than Chinese language study.

3. Funding

Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship from CSC during their stay in China, including tuition waiver, free on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance and monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for general scholars; CNY 3,500 for senior scholars).

4. Eligibility

4.1 Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China and be in good health both mentally and physically.

4.2 Be under 45 applying for general scholars.

Be under 50 applying for senior scholars.

4.3 Register as full-time student or employed as full-time academic staff at CSC’s foreign partner university by the time of application and throughout the proposed stay in China.Foreign University List please refer to Appendix 1.

4.4 Have obtained admission qualification from Wenzhou University.

5. Application Documents

5.1 Photocopy of passport

5.2 Graduation certificate and official (Certificates and transcripts should be in Chinese orEnglish. If not, they should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.)

5.3 Study plan

5.4 Health report within six months

5.5 Pre-admission Notice: Pre-admission document or invitation letter issued by our university (optional);

5.6 Published papers or articles (optional);

5.7 Language proficiency certificate (optional);

5.8 Other supplementary materials (optional).

6. Application Process

6.1 Applicants shall contact Wenzhou University through email in advance to obtain admission qualification (Email addree: admission@wzu.edu.cn; Email subject: China Link + Name+ university's name).

6.2 The College of International Education our university is responsible for reviewing the admission qualifications of applicants, determining the recommended candidates, and issuing the pre-admission notice.

6.3 The admission and enrollment process for this program is fully carried out in accordance with the Type B program procedures of the Chinese Government Scholarship Information Management System for International Students. Applicants are required to log in to the system (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) as instructed, complete the online application, and upload the relevant materials. Our university's agency number is 10351. The system operation guide is provided in Appendix 2.

The CSC application portal is open to applicants all year round.

6.4 Our university will submit the recommended candidates in batches through the Chinese Government Scholarship Information Management System for International Students.

6.5 CSC notifies us of scholarship award results on a monthly basis.

6.6 Our university will notify the applicants of the scholarship admission results. The specific scholarship admission results shall be subject to the notification issued by the China Scholarship Council.
