To help students explore cross-cultural teaching and career paths in teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages(TCSOL), the College of International Education (CIE) recently held two seminars.
On April 20, 2026, speakers Zheng Juanman and Peng Shuiqin delivered a session titled “Walking with Students from Around the World.” They shared practical tips on classroom design, cross-cultural communication, and building teacher-student trust with learners from diverse backgrounds.

On May 6, speakers Xu Lili and Huang Yalin presented a seminar on the TCSOL Certificate. They covered the exam structure, application process, preparation strategies, and the growing global demand for qualified Chinese teachers, emphasizing the certificate as an essential credential.

Both events offered students valuable guidance on career development and professional competitiveness. CIE plans to continue hosting similar sessions to prepare more students for roles as Chinese language educators and cultural ambassadors.
