A short-video contest for university students and faculty was launched on June 17 at Wenzhou University, drawing over 600 participants from 10 local institutions. The competition, tied to the 15th China International Garden Expo, invites entrants to create multilingual videos that showcase the Expo and tell Wenzhou’s stories to global audiences.

At the opening ceremony, international students from Cameroon, Morocco, and Kazakhstan performed cultural acts, and student representatives received flags from local communication agencies. Right after, some 60 students headed to the Expo site for their first shooting session.

Submissions close on July 15. Winning entries will be promoted via local and overseas media and included in the Expo's promotional materials. Prizes include five first-place, ten second-place, and twenty third-place awards, plus special "International Communication" honors. Top winners will also be named "Wenzhou Garden Expo Promotional Officers" and get priority in future cultural exchange events.

The contest is hosted by the Publicity Department of CPC Wenzhou Municipal Committee, co-organized by Wenzhou University and Wenzhou Business College, and supported by Wenzhou Evening News.
