College Introduction

College of International Education of Wenzhou University was established in 2006. It is responsible for the general education of all international students enrolled in Wenzhou University(WZU), as well as international cooperative education programs, international promotion of Chinese language, the construction of the Chinese language education base of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council. It mainly has a business Chinese program for international students, a "3+1" Chinese language and literature undergraduate education program in cooperation with Burapha University, a master's program of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages for both international and Chinese students.

We are open to international students from more than 70 countries, including United States, Italy, Netherlands, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Russia, Ghana, Nigeria, Zimbabwe. We are committed to further meeting the needs of countries alongside the "Belt and Road" by creating a diversified international education atmosphere and striving to achieve two-way cultural exchanges. Meanwhile, we try to enhance the international influence of WZU by building the brand of "Study in WZU".

We have five research institutes, including Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Language, Translation and International Communication Research Center of Wenzhou University, "Belt&Road" Chinese Culture International Communication, International Students' General Education, International Students' Intercultural Adaptation, European Chinese Language Education.

We have kept good educational exchange and cooperation relationship with universities and research institutions in many countries and regions, such as the United States, Japan, Thailand, etc. We actively build platforms for students to go abroad for exchanging and studying, developing students' international vision. We have established a center for Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) test which has been approved by the Ministry of Education, and has undertaken the Chinese Proficiency Test in Wenzhou and neighboring cities.
